KP Exfoliating Body Scrub

What is the KP Exfoliating Body Scrub?

A dermatologist-developed body scrub for keratosis pilaris and bumpy skin. It combines 10% AHAs (7% glycolic, 3% lactic) with fine sucrose granules and 26% glycerin to clear keratin buildup gently, so the rest of your KP routine can absorb and work h

Who is the body scrub for?

Anyone with rough, bumpy skin texture, especially on arms, legs, thighs, or shoulders. It's formulated for sensitive skin and was tested on reactive-skin types in our 28-day consumer panel.

How is this different from other body scrubs?

Most body scrubs use pumice, walnut shell, or apricot pit, which are hard and abrasive. We use fine sucrose granules that dissolve in water as you exfoliate, suspended in 26% glycerin so they glide rather than drag.

How often should I use the body scrub?

You should use this 2 to 3 times per week, in the shower. Massage onto wet skin, let it sit for 60 seconds, then rinse.

Do I need to use a moisturizer with the body scrub?

No, but they work better together. The scrub clears keratin buildup so the KP Body Moisturizer's actives (retinol, urea, lactic acid) can be absorbed and work more deeply. We recommend the duo for best results.

When should I apply the moisturizer if I'm using both?

On scrub days, apply the moisturizer right after rinsing and towel-drying. On non-scrub days, use the moisturizer daily on its own.

Can I use the body scrub on my face?

We don't recommend using this scrub on the face. The granule size and concentration of AHAs are formulated for body skin, which is thicker than facial skin.

Can I use the body scrub while pregnant or breastfeeding?

We recommend that you always consult your healthcare provider before using new skincare products during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The scrub itself does not contain retinol, but the paired KP Body Moisturizer does.

Is the body scrub fragrance free?

Yes. The scrub contains no added fragrance.

Is the body scrub safe for sensitive skin?

The scrub was tested in a 28-day consumer panel that included participants who typically react to body exfoliants. 100% of sensitive-skin testers reported no irritation. As with any new skincare product, we recommend patch-testing before regular use.

Is this vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. The KP body scrub is vegan and cruelty-free.

Does the body scrub contain any common allergens?

The scrub is formulated without common allergens. Full ingredient list available on the product page.

How long until I see results?

Most people notice softer, smoother skin within the first few uses. Visible texture changes typically appear after 2 or 3 weeks, with fuller results after 4 weeks when used consistently with the KP Body Moisturizer.

Will the body scrub help with discoloration?

The scrub clears surface buildup, which allows treatment products to better target post-bump discoloration. The KP Body Moisturizer (with retinol and lactic acid) does the deeper work on discoloration.

Do I need to wear sunscreen?

SPF is recommended for daytime use to protect skin and prevent new discoloration from forming. AHAs can increase sun sensitivity.

Will the body scrub cause clogging in my drain?

No! Our scrub uses sugar as the exfoliating agent, which dissolves in water, so there are no concerns about clogging the drain, unlike traditional scrubs that rely on pumice or beads for exfoliation
