What does "fully solubilized" mean?Updated a month ago
Most azelaic acid formulas are suspensions, meaning the azelaic acid crystals are suspended as solid particles in the product. Picture it as snow suspended in a snow globe after you shake it. We completely dissolved our azelaic acid into a liquid, leaving no thick grittiness behind. Our azelaic acid is fully solubilized without propylene glycol or alcohols, common skin irritants. Not only does it lead to a better texture, but some studies even show that solubilized azelaic acid has better penetration into the skin [Li, Nan, et al. Drug Dev Ind Pharm. 2012]
